Single-stage contralateral total hip and knee arthroplasty: a report of two cases with literature review

<p>Total hip arthroplasty (THA) and total knee (TKA) have been performed for end stage degenerative arthritis of respectively, with reliable functional outcomes. A single joint has wide acceptance, presents less complications than a staged or simultaneous bilateral arthroplasty. Any contralateral ipsilateral two infrequently occasionally described. We present cases where were in single-stage simultaneously an end-stage arthritis. Hip was operated first both the cases. The clinical, radiological, recovery graded good both.
